Old Crow Medicine Show’s Ketch Secor goes it alone in the new song “Quarantined” — but he sure would like to have some company. A lighthearted ode to be being separated from the one you love, the track finds the man-out-of-time musician suffering through two full weeks without as much as an embrace.

“I wanna hug you and hold you tight/but I gotta wait 14 nights,” Secor sings in the ragtime number, lamenting the sad truth that “one little cough can kill us all.” He even works in a reference to the Centers for Disease Control. “If I can’t find me no lovin’,” he wails, “let me fall on my knees and forgo all decrees from the CDC.”

While people everywhere are trying to identify their purpose during this trying time, one woman is quite literally running toward hers with a 100-mile run on Friday for a good cause.

Colorado-native Kalyca Zarich took up running as a way to deal with depression and anxiety that she was experiencing during college. And while her initial goals were to run a half marathon, and then a marathon, she quickly set her sights on some longer distances as she entered the territory of ultrarunning.

“After completing a couple of marathons, I got intrigued by the ultrarunning, which is basically anything over 26.2 miles,” Zarich tells Yahoo Life. “I was particularly interested in trying a 50-mile distance. So I did my first 50 mile-race in 2013.”

At the time, a family friend had been coaching Zarich to

Fox News Airs Digital Show Starring Alex Berenson, Coronavirus Truther

Fox News recently aired a new one-off documentary on its streaming platform from notorious coronavirus skeptic Alex Berenson, the one-time New York Times reporter who has recently been embraced by right-wing media for his contrarian stances on the COVID-19 pandemic that has killed more than 82,000 Americans.

With very little fanfare, the two episodes of the show COVID Contrarian premiered on Fox Nation, the network’s subscription streaming service, on May 12. Besides a write-up on the channel’s website, there appeared to be no other mention of the program’s launch from the infamous ex-reporter and current spy novelist.

A Fox News spokesperson confirmed to The Daily Beast that this is just a one-off with Berenson and he will not be hosting a permanent show on Fox Nation. The two-part broadcast is part of the streaming service’s ongoing Fox Nation 101 series, which focuses on specific news and cultural topics.

India faces spike in coronavirus cases, says study, in test for health system

He once laced up for Steve Spurrier. Now he’s playing tag on national TV show

Whether he’s chasing down opponents on a football field or shooting arrows at deer deep in the woods, Blake Baxley lives for the hunt. It’s an important piece of his identity.

But Baxley isn’t quite used to being hunted himself. Certainly not on national television.

One year ago, the former South Carolina football player flew from Columbia to Los Angeles and took part in the filming of a new athletic competition called “Ultimate Tag.” The series is set to premiere on FOX at 9 p.m. on May 20.

Hosted by Houston Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt and his brothers T.J. and Derek, “Ultimate Tag” is an extreme version of the popular playground game. Contestants must leap, dodge and run through three-dimensional obstacle courses, all while being chased by professional taggers with backgrounds in parkour and stunt work. The only rule is to not get caught.

    Baxley’s specific episode will

Peloton’s Red-Hot Earnings Show At-Home Benefit Here to Stay

(Bloomberg) — Peloton Interactive Inc. shares rose to another record high after third-quarter results and a boosted year-end forecast blew away Wall Street’s estimates, indicating that strong demand for its exercise products is here to stay.

The coronavirus pandemic contributed to growth in the quarter as fitness centers were ordered to close and consumers turned to at-home physical activities. This shift in behavior was widely touted by Wall Street over recent months, but analysts still underestimated the degree of heightened demand. Connected fitness subscribers rose to 886,100 at quarter end, topping expectations for 858,000, which reflects an average of five estimates compiled by Bloomberg News.

“Fiscal third-quarter results reinforce our thesis that consumer behavior is fundamentally changing due to Covid-19 and that Peloton is benefiting from this shift as demand accelerates,” said JMP analyst Ronald Josey. Even BMO’s Simeon Siegel, who holds the lone sell-equivalent rating on the stock, couldn’t
